Kim Freeman
Kim is a caring and helpful Therapy Technician with experience in working with children, young people and families.
Kim has a BSc Psychology Degree, and Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification with training in using PECS, Sign Along, Manual Handling and more.
Kim has experience of working in two different specialised schools supporting children and young people with a range of physical, sensory and additional complex needs. Kim has worked as a Personal Assistant supporting young adults developing social and life skills. Kim has worked with a charity focused on supporting families who have children with additional needs.
Kim now works for Helping Kids Shine Limited which is a therapy business based in Bridgend in South Wales, with a national reach across the United Kingdom.
Kim’s main duties include supporting therapists to help children and young people to maximise their independence and to reach their functional goals, as well as assisting with postural management, supporting sensory differences, carrying out therapy programmes under the direction of a qualified therapist, and providing pastoral support to caregivers.
Kim has Associate membership with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
