Bryher’s comprehensive report has enabled us to proceed to an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment for my 11 year old autistic daughter. It was really important that her new secondary school are fully aware of the needs she has, especially physical and sensory. I really like that the report is geared around my daughters successes and her future wish to become an artist.
It was noted by myself during mediation [to assess] that Bryher had stated in her report that she suspected that my daughter was masking her difficulties at school. I feel this was the main factor which overturned the LA’s decision not to assess. EHCP is predicted for the start of secondary.
